Sometimes what we need isn't therapy practice. We need a narrative event.

I offer four-hour, one-on-one conversations, recorded and transcribed — unhurried, unguarded, and completely confidential. It isn't counseling, and it isn't an interview, though it borrows from both. The result might look more like an oral history of you or a loved one.

How It Works

We talk. I listen in the particular way I've learned to listen — like I’m trying to write a story from what you’re saying, and I need more information at every turn to understand. I'll ask questions you may not have been asked before, a mix of probing big-picture questions and weird little detail questions, many of which you might not be able to answer.

I won't tell you what to do, but I may tell you what I notice.

At the outset, I'll ask you how honest you’d like me to be.

Afterward, you'll receive a full transcript of our conversation, along with my own reflection of our time together. These are yours to keep.

Who It’s For

People in a moment of crisis, bewilderment, or stagnation. People who are curious. Some people reach out to me because they want to better understand a loved one, perhaps an older relative, but don’t know how to get their stories out of them.

Are you interested? Why?
